All the best with it Scott, I don't know if I got the voting bit right but if I have hopefully my one vote will help.
Hellow, Tony it is good to hear from you, hope all is well with you. Some good news for me as I was asked to go on a local radio station and talk about my photography class and using film photography.
Just checking to see how every thing is going with you Tony, I have strayed from the Canon path a bit by purchasing a Mamiya Universal Press camera with a 100mm lens and 65mm lens, I havea 6x7 cm roll back and a pair of 6x9 cm roll backs. The combination of 65mm lens and 6x9 cm roll back should give some excellent Panoramas.
I entered two images in to the Royal Hobart show photo comp, no luck. One small thing was when the images are entered they must be framed, at the end of the show the images are priced and put up for sale, both my images were priced at $500 each and the one that won was only $350 . A small win.
I have not heard from you for a while,Tony, hope you are well. Let me know how you are going. Craig S.
Hello Craig. Many thanks for your concern. Doing just fine, still battling the aging process. Not making much headway. :(((. How is life treating you? Tony.
Peter, it was good to see you on the forum, I regularly follow you on your youtube channel, last one was a month ago. have a lovely Easter and I hope you get your software right, I just resetly got a new toy, Rolleflex 620, the one with the pop up lip with the small mirror with a hole in it, a sports view finder its called I think, only thing is the film winder is a bit worn, Any how have a good one mate.
I did not want to put this up for public view but I am also meeting up with an old girlfriend for coffee. most of my class are gossips so it should have tounges wagging.
You were a little snappy with Caladina, you have not been upset by her critqeuing your images before, is there there something bothering you, mate. we might be a world away but we are still a community and as such should help and support, each other.
Laura, don't worry about Tony's rant about his flower . This is not the first time he has had one on this forum , he had a few on the Pentax forum aswell. He denied the last one and Ray Allen copied it and sent it back to him. Personally I think he is showing early signs of dementia.
Laura, the cleaning of the contacts and autofocus sensor seems to have worked the image is not 100% but much greatly improved. using your lens testing image shows no distortion of the image so hopefully all is ok.
Laura, I have looked up on how to clean the contacts on the lens and my 1 D and to clean the sensor for the autofocus, and the lens is now locking on to the test image you put up, hopefully this has fixed the focus issue. I shall re-take the image some time this weekend, the lens should perform much better.
Craig Sherriff Laura, been thinking of what you have noticed with Tony's images being over saturated, I had a look at A Little Trouble With Red Eye? Visine and the settings were at 1/200s, F/5.6, ISO 10,000. Now look at his last flower image, ISO: 100 Shutter: 1/180s: F11. With these two in mind thinking about the sunny 16 rule, the first image is 2.5 stops too bright thus I think. causing the over saturation.
Laura, (had to cut the message in half as it is more than 420 long) Deliberate or not he has applied the sunny 16 rule (ISO = shutter at f16) and it has come out ok. What do you think?
I do have DIGITAL gear now ! PENTAX K10D Bought 2002, Olympus E-1, 8MP Olympus E-500 given and a CANON Powershot G5 Given recently !
Merry Christmas, Johnsey, I hope you and your family have a joyous one, this year has been a bit shitty but here's hoping next year is much better.. ps. With you moderating the forum it has run quite smothly. thanks.
