Hello! I'm a long time Canon shooter, having owned the FTB, FTBn, A-1, AE-1, T-90, and the EOS 3, all from the days of shooting film. Other film cameras I've worked are the Yashica Mat 124 TLR, as well as the Pentax MV. My transition to DSLR bodies began with the Canon Rebel XT. I then acquired the EOS 20D, then the T3i, the T5, (an awful little camera, IMO!) and now the 6D Mark II. My other current digital bodies are the Fujifilm X100, the Fujifilm X100F, and the Canon G7X compact. I also shoot two GoPro Hero 5 cameras and one GoPro Session 5, and I fly a DJI Phantom 4 Pro for aerial stills and video. Yeah, I'm a gear head and proud! My lens suite has always been Canon glass; and recently included multiple L series lenses. I'm now down to just one L series lens, the 24-105 f4 L II IS. The two Fujifilm bodies are fixed 23mm lens cameras; the 1.6 crop factor provides a 35mm perspective. My wife and I live aboard a 34 ' cruising sailboat, hence my limited gear inventory! The 6D serves as a stills and video camera, (along with the G7X), and the Fujifilm cameras are excellent for stealthy street work. The GoPro cameras are used exclusively for video in 'hazardous' conditions. I have a background in fine-art photography and have been gallery represented, published, and all that. Now, I shoot for me! I look forward to participating, learning, and sharing!
Welcome to the forum, Bill. That's quite a resume. I am sure that we can learn a lot from each other.
Welcome Bill. You are doing on water what we are doing on land in our 39' fifth wheel. Wonderful life. Very impressive resume. Hope to learn from you.
Thanks again everyone - I'm quite surprised that people are finding my resume to be 'impressive!' I am certainly hopeful to learn from people here, as well! After the New year, things will calm down for me considerably. I look forward to a lot of participation here. Thanks again!
