Hi All, brand new here but I’ve been involved with (old) Canon gear for quite some time! First, my mom, who got me involved with photography while I was in my teens (the 70s) had Canon LTM lenses for her Leica IIIg. In the last 10 years, I acquired some excellent Canon rangefinder gear (a IIB, and a 7) and some LTM lenses, all outstanding and fun to use! Lately, my mom passed along to me her AE1 that she bought new in the 80s. Fast forward to this past month. Full disclosure, I’ve always been primarily a Pentax and Leica shooter, and my wife, an avid photographer herself, always used my Pentax gear for shooting wildlife and landscapes. Though not as big a deal to me, she was always frustrated by the Pentax’s autofocus limitations. Frequently, after missing some potentially great shots, she’d look at me and say, “I want a Canon.” So for a surprise gift, I did my research and lined up a Canon 7D II, a 18-135mm EF-S Nano IS USM, and a 70-300mm IS USM II. In the process I’m learning how to work it, so when I present it to her, I can pass along what she needs to know. We have a Yellowstone NP trip planned for August and I think she’ll be quite pleased! And in the process, I’m starting to wish it was mine! I love my Pentax and Leica gear and don't plan to give up either, but I’m starting to see for myself why Canon gear has the reputation it has! Who knows what might happen...? Cheers, Allan

Thanks for the welcomes! A forum profile question: I can see my equipment list on my profile page under the "Information" Tab, but can't find a way to edit it. Is there a way to access the list for editing purposes? Thanks again.
Welcome to the forums Allen! Don't worry, once you have 10 posts I believe you should be able to fully edit your profile.
Thanks Gary! Even though I'm starting to get into shooting the 7D2, I still reach for the KP (and others ).
