What a terrific wildlife series. Birds are a real kick in the pants. A lot of fun to observe and wonder at. Thanks very much for a lovely and interesting series. Well done sir. Cheers, Tony :)

Thanks Tony, I feel very lucky to have such a wide selection of burds almost in my back yard.
I love watching the Galah's, Corella's and Cocky's, they are such characters and always seem to be smiling. Love the expression on the Cocky, he seems to be asking "what's that big black thing you're pointing at me?".

John, down in Tasmania, with the exception of the ibis, we have them in and around our parks also. The Plover and the Magpie are local but the others have become a introduced pest, competing with the local birds for food.
The sulpher crested cockatoos and to a lesser extent the corellas have formed in to large flocks, especially around the farming areas.
With no natural predictors they have become a bit of a destructive pest. damaging crops.
Still very iconic Australian birds and great pets.

Those are excellent bird shots, John. You have captured the character of each of the birds very well. Very enjoyable viewing.
