I have been told by Canon UK today that they are going into stock in stores today , ready for the official sale date tomorrow the 30th , so I would expect delivery in the next few days .

It is good to see that your new cameras are not that far off. I'll be looking forward to see what you guys think of your new cameras.

Have one on pre order from Park and they are estimating one to two weeks for delivery at the moment. Hopefully one rather than 2.

But I can’t seem to find the silent shutter mode. Not like the R model

No that's been debunked already Canon Rumours mentioned it , but Canon have said they are not holding the shipments back until November (another rumour ) and they are not recalling them .

One of the first photos I took on the R5 , the auto focus is lightning fast and the eye tracking is superb on animals and humans , and the 45mp picture quality is the best I have ever seen .I do a small amount of video work for my daughter who is a singer , so I am looking forward to shooting one shortly .

I know that it is early days, but I am sure that you will be happy with that. Are you using a R mount, or an EF adapted lens? How are you finding the camera so far.

What was the Canon body that you were using prior to you picking up the R?

I have bought RF lenses now , but I was using an RP before with EF Lenses with no issues at all , The camera is superb , I am still trying to get my head around the menu and setting it up how I like it , but so far I am very pleased with it .

I liked Gordon Laing's review of the R% as he has separated the review for photography and video, personally i don't think photography cameras should be maxed out with video stuff, maybe so basic vid stuff.

if money was no object it would be a great camera for wildlife with that amazing AF

Yes best review so far , it's great to see someone concentrate on the photography side of the camera .

To any EOS R or RP owners, have you used the R to EF mount adaptor, and if so, did you find that it made the combination feel unwieldy. The reason for my question is that I bought an EOS R with the F4 kit lens, and as this is my first canon camera I would like to buy a 70-300mm Zoom to accompany the 24 -105mm lens, but I wonder if it would be bit unwieldy, sticking out so far, I hope that makes sense

You won't have any issues with the set up , its going to be slightly longer than on a DSLR because of the adapter , but its not that much difference .

I have an RP and the plain EF to R adapter. Upto this point, I have had a 70-200 f4 L attached to the camera for most of the time. Unwieldy, not at all. In some ways it is better as I hold the lens and the lack of weight of the camera makes it really easy to work with.

Many thanks for your positive response, that means I won't have to wait for an RF mount 70-300mm lens to be released!

What photo editing software did you use, I'm asking because I hear that currently software like Photoshop can't process the raw files.
