Hi folks, besides photography, what other hobbies take up your time? I dabble with recurve archery when time permits . It is both quite physical and mentally challenging. Tell us about yourself.
Electronics (PCB design), automation (CNC lately), software programming (moved from PC to Microcontrollers), raising pigeons, chickens and rabbits - all hobbies, that means I enjoy a lot doing that. I enjoy also watching Formula 1 and NASCAR, Anime and e-Sports (Starcraft competitions, LOL, DOTA 2, Heroes of the Storm, Don't Starve).
i play bass - it's a passion - and sing. i'm also into working out, particularly resistance training. reading was my number 1 passion for most of my life, but due to eye issues, i am listening to a lot of audio books.
Superb! I did bass and mandolin long time ago. I still want to come back to mandolin, I still have one without strings but I forgot the note placement on the grip... man, that was long time ago. http://magazinulrapsodia.ro/hora-reghin/mandolina-portughez-i
mandolin seems very interesting, and also challenging to me - it has such itty bitty frets. i'm used to playing classical guitar and bass, which has lots of room finger fingers to get just a little careless.
Indeed, you really need a "feather" (don't know the word in english) to sound the strings properly. It is painful to press the strings on the grip at the beginning... until your skin gets ticker. You can't get that specific "tremolo" without a "feather".
At one time, I had 10" f4 imaging Newtonian, an MI250 german equatorial mount rated at 80 lbs of imaging gear, a guide scope, a DSLR modified for astro imaging, a computer to run the whole thing all contained in an 8X8 roll off roof observatory in my backyard. Talk about spendy!!!!!! David
I also try to play guitar. I have a Carvin DC127 and a Line6 75W Spider Jam amp. The noise really annoys the cats. David
