Tony, I think it lacks a bit of detail in the upper layer of petals but still a nice photo. You're gonna have to get some editing practice so you can clean up some of the petals that look a bit tatty and be able to give the flowers a bit of oomph! Don't get me wrong, I think your photos are pretty special BUT with a few tweaks they may just look a bit more "next level"
Well, on the detail in the back petals, this subject is old and ready to check out, so there isn't much detail to begin with. The focus on these types of flowers is traditionally dead center in order to bring about their best and most important feature. I agree, I could have and should have enhanced the petals, but then again I felt adding new to the old and dying would have appeared somewhat bizarre. Anyway as always I will go back and try to effect your helpful hints and suggestions. Cheers. Tony
