Isac, P mode is Programmed Automatic, the camera does most of the setting but you can make minor adjustments like exposure compensation.
I do apologise for my extremely poor attempt at humour Jim, I nwas only joking about the P mode. I do know the ins and outs of my camera settings. I heard a guy ask once, "What's the P mean?" and someone said "Professional". I thought it was quite humourous and I thank you for your comment.
