Nice to know that Isac. I have had experience with such protective instincts from other birds which are usually not aggressive. Any day I would take my chances with this one than with a Cassowary .
Nice lighting on the magpie, they are not always grumpy, my Grandfather used to have a pet one and the local ones around my parents place used to be hand-fed with mince by my Mother every morning outside the backdoor.

The Cassowary is very dangerous indeed with those huge feet! The death of the guy in Florida was world news about mid 2019.
