i prefer Sundar,s version as his one has a good light/dark contrast, this one doesn't have as higher one, in black and white world is that called tonality or just contrast range
Thanks for the comments Caladina. I would love to have one of the sculptures at our place. But even the smaller sculptures are not cheap, but they are very well and cleverly done. Gary
This is a big black crow sitting on a post at our local lake. I gave it a Chalk & Charcoal makeover just for fun as it was an average image.
Gary, coming from a family with a long history of trout fishing, I find this statue the most interesting of all you have put up so far
Great looking photo Gary, lovely tones and the lighting is very good. If you removed the framework it would look like a flying fish for real!
Caladina, I like the third one as the shadows and highlights give the statue a nice three dimensional look
thanks, i want to go back and take some more of them, the sun was really bright sunday and i had to crop this on for the blown highlights the takumar facebook group i 'm on have started doing some monthly challenges this months is black and white and you have to use Takumar lenses, i took my takky 200 as well i have a few from that.
I also have a love for the Takumar lenses, I have 8 of them, I have one problem with some of them and that is the yellowing form the radioactive coating, I need to get a uv light and leaving them out in a sunny day is not a option for me. Like many other things, I will get around to it someday.
i shot the B and W ones with the camera in Monochrome mode rather than colour and convert to B/W in post, mostly so i could watch the contrast and in the cemetery there doesnt tend to be many brightly opposing colours to make use of the colour shift for B/W imaging
