I've had a play with Helicon Focus for stacking some sample images but I don't think it's for me. I use I.C.E. for stitching, it's great. It lets you choose different methods for the view and lots of cropping choices - even auto fill crop which is similar to content aware fill in PS. I stopped using it because the free version I have lacks good user interface. I thought of using it for focus stacking but never got to it. Pretty cumbersome to do focus stacking in the outdoors (maybe use of it for landscape itself is questionable).
Well, no. Hang on. There is something very wrong here. I have a problem with the way this thread has progressed. A thread is started, an image is posted, and off go the comments. Fair enough. All goes well, a little bit of banter. Nothing wrong there. Until. Well, it is a public and open forum where people are able to add their points of view to any thread. Their points of view you may not agree with, but their input is just as important. The comment is not offensive in anyway shape or form. I agree, it is not. It is a bog standard high and low cloud formation that we get almost every cloudy day here. But I think I could sit here and strongly argue that you are ego stroking. As soon as a comment is made you don't like, you go on the defensive. So long as you agree with someone humoring you it is fine, but if you don't like what they say, you don't like it? See my above comment. Well, no. What a load of BS. Please Sundar, show me where, show the members where, show anyone looking at this forum where you said that this thread is now private between two members. You post something in the public domain, and afterwards you say it now "strictly between Isac and me". You are joking aren't you..... Talking about making up some rules to suit yourself. Do you not understand what a public forum is Sundar? Surely if you wish to communicate in private, you use a PM, it's not hard. What are you going to do? Go and edit one of your posts to cover your butt? Maybe it would be easier if you can point out what is offensive in Calidina's post? From where I am looking, you have nothing to say sorry for Calidina. You have done nothing wrong. Sundar is the member who should be putting on his big boy pants and saying sorry. My point was the failure to see where I was coming from (nor for that matter Isac). Agree there is nothing proprietary in the exchanges when it is public, I respect that. That is about all I can concede. However, I have no issue in saying sorry to Calidina if I have appeared harsh. Sorry madam.
I would also like to jump on the bandwagon , a excellent image with lot of interesting elements contain within. Good one Sundar.
