Backwaters

River meandering through thick vegetation. This is similar to coastal mangrove forest except that this is not salt water as there is no sea or ocean nearby to mix. Pretty rich in marine life attracting few Egrets to the left.



Brahminy kite on a tree at a distance. Medium-sized raptor common to this part of the world. They tend to coexit with Red kite.



Grey Heron

 

Another nice image Sundar, I do like this style of landscape. It makes me want to be there with my fly fishing gear. OH and a camera too,

Would love a chance to see a kite. I'm sure I could spend lots of time there photographing the wildlife.

 

Thanks Kilo. Didn't see too many birds close enough to get good shots. Here is another of Grey Heron (added to the set at the top). It was standing still in a zen like manner for a very long time.
