This is an Anthurium Flower Plant. The red areas are modified petals. The actual flowers are the buds that are on the um, Appendage/Stamen. Goes to show ya, vintage Canon gear can still hit a Grand Slam.
Canon EOS Rebel T5 with Canon EF-S 55~250mm, IS, II Lens.

1/60s, F/9, ISO 400, Manual Exposure Mode, No Fill Flash, Focal Length 171mm With CWA Metering.

Thank you very much for viewing. :)

It is very bad here in the States and Oregon, where we live is becoming worse by the day. Ignorance here is unbelievable. There are people who still deny that the Covid-19 Virus is real, even with the number of people becoming infected and dying increasing by the minute. There is an old saying that says: "You can't fix stupid." Good to hear things are improving in your neck of the woods. Cheers Mate and hope you and yours have the very best Holiday Season ever. :)

Lovely photo Tony, very sharp and vibrant. I only have one lily plant and it's just popped out in bloom - it's a day lily, beautiful flower.

It's sad to here of the ignorance of so many people over your side of the planet. When we see on the news, the way some people are ignoring the warnings, it's unbelievable. They seem to think that being told what they must do to stop the spread, is an invasion of their civil liberties.
The numbers coming out of the USA are mind-blowing! This is a time when I'm glad we live in Western Australia. We've had some folk in the Eastern States telling us to open our borders up for months now and our Premier has gone with his medical advice and kept it closed since our first case of Covid-19 back in March. Our state has a budget surplus and all is tickety-boo! He has just opened the border now, but with very strict quarantine rules applying to all visitors. He has backing of 92% of voters and a personal approval rating of over 90%.
Enough of the rambling for now Tony! Merry Christmas to you and your loved ones and I hope they all stay safe mate. Cheers.
