    I have the M50 with the apsc lens adapter with a 24mm 2.8 and 50mm 1.8.

I am looking to upgrade and change my lens line.

First I am looking for a wider angle lens (I am big into landscapes and city shots).

I am looking at the M 11-22mm lens or the sigma 16mm. Any suggestions?

Also for normal, every day walk-around I was thinking abut trading in my 24mm for the 22mm m lens (for size reasons).

Any help would be very thankful!

although i have the M50 i'm not that big on landscapes but i know a few others here will have a better idea of these specific lenses.

as yo have the M50 can i ask you to do a quick test for me as i may have found a bug in the foucusing.
could you try autofocusing on something that only has a horizontal line in the frame, like a close up of the horizontal gap in a cupboard or set of draws if there is anything else in the image like a pattern or other object the camera will focus on that.
the reason i ask if i now have two bodies that do this and it might be an issue for canon to produce a firmware update

Well what is your preference between range of reach and speed of lens? The sigma is very fast at 1.4 but I wonder how often you plan to shoot landscape/cityscape that wide? If you want to do astrophotography, then the sigma is the obvious choice as you will want to shoot it wide open. If your doing more standard landscape or cityscapes where depth of field is important then you do not need a fast lens and the 11-22 gives you more versatility in framing up the shot. Both are going to have a little bit of size to them, the sigma being 14oz and quite a bit more heavy than the 8oz 11-22.

If you want something very small for size I see going more of a pancake lens route with the 22mm or 24mm, not sure if the upgrade is really needed to the 22 f2, but at $200 its a nice fast lens if you get the zoom for the wider shots. As a walk about I would also be curious how the 28mm macro feels, as that would come in handy and it is still very lightweight.
