Hey There Everyone! I'm preparing to do newborn portraits for twins. I love using my nifty fifty for portraits, but with two newborns in a small room, I don't think I will be able to get far enough away to keep them both in frame comfortably. Does anyone have a go to lens for shooting portraits in tight spaces?
You may want to try a 35mm if you are having concerns about getting two of them in the same frame, 35/50/85 are the three most common primes for portraits. I would try using the 50mm first I have shot my 1.4 in tight spaces you may be alright.
My suggestion is not on what size but take your camera to your local camera store and request to try out the lenses they have there on your camera, any good camera store should let you do this. It will give you a actual feel for the lens and if it suits you. My next suggestion is rent the lens, this may be a cheaper option.
That's a great suggestion! I was able to find a local store that allows you to rent lens for a reasonable price. I had no idea lens rentals were common practice. Thank you for suggesting this!
