i am an exif info checker. when i see a grainy pic, i immediately check if the ISO is high, and when i see a sharp, clear and clean pic, i check to see what's what. and so on.. other than downloading each pic, is there a way i'm missing to see the exif info?
This will be another request of mine also. The EXIF information must be mandatory for the pics posted in Canon gallery, to prove that is taken with Canon. If you forgot to set your post processing software to keep the EXIF information, bummer, you lose the right to post it in the Canon gallery, even if it was taken with Canon. Because you, or me, can't prove it was taken with Canon camera. Also, EXIF information is mandatory in any brand based contest. This forum needs rules and order, and admins enforcing those rules, otherwise this forum has no value and it won't attract any valuable member of give any weight to the reviews. It is an investment in the forum future and if you are not comited to this, then is a waste of time and nerves.
Currently we don't show EXIF information in the posts' images, but they should be showing up in the photo galleries. Also, EXIF data can be very easily changed, so it wouldn't be fool proof if someone really wanted to enter a contest with a picture that wasn't taken with a non Canon camera.
i'll bite - where are the photo galleries? i see the albums section, searched through them. no exif into on pics there. i go to photos in threads and i don't see a link to galleries - am i missing something?
Not to be a snot here, but I strip EXIF regularly. There's just too much information in there that is none of anyone's business, such as serial numbers and such. I would not mind not doing that if there were a CONVENIENT way (yes, I know about EXIFTOOL) to leave such things as exposure, ISO, etc. only.
There's supposed to be EXIF information displayed in the photos section, but it looks like it isn't working. Taking a look now...
Exif should now be working for all future uploads. To view exif info, click on the "information" tab next to the comments below each photo.
