And another years break comes to an end. I'll post a few over the next few days. Day one at Lake Manapouri. RP, 70-200 f4 L Gary
And from the same location with the tops of the mountains catching the last light of the day. Same gear as above. Gary
Gary, like the previous image, both are very good, it is the layer of cloud that is the defining element in both images.
I must remember to turn IS back on after I turn it off. So it is not the sharpest image I have ever taken. A foggy start to the day. Again, lake Te Anau. RP, 70-200 f4 L Gary
Thanks Ray. Yes, I think that you are right. But I will add another from the same morning. Same camera gear and time as above. Gary
Great set. Some of the images with mountains took my breath away. I am a sucker for mountains anyway.
This looks like an iconic location. I have seen pictures of this in other forums, Outdoor Phorgarpher Magazine for one.
This image is of the Wanaka Tree. It is a well known spot. I kind of wanted to go and photograph it, but also sort of didn't because it is so well known. We were staying in town, so we ended up there. I have been told that there can be bus loads of people there all trying to get an image of the tree. But because of NZ closing the borders because of Covid, there were only two of us there. That made the experience nicer. Gary
I like these images as it reminds me of the wooded areas around the highland lakes of the central plateau of Tasmania.
