What I like about this image, Gary is the way the tips of the branches are in sharp focus against the out of focus waterfall.

I love the POV of the shot Gary. The DOF really gives some depth. Just for fun I rotated it 90 degrees left and it's still a great image

 

Probably singing it a lullaby! Lovely (and different) image.

 

This was about as close the seal I was going to get. I didn't want to disturb it so it would make a dash for the ocean.

I have never seen one on this beach before.

I did have a battle with the wind, and being able to focus on the grass. But between the gusts, and a good few missed shots, I got this. I prefer the subject matter in the first image, but the late afternoon lighting in the second.

I also have a battle with wind and the customers at Vinnies do not like it, seriously the results of the first image was worth the effort, I had another look at the second one, it is nice pleasant and even relaxing but I still prefer the first one. A nice effort on both, Gary.

 

Lovely images Gary. I like both for different reasons. I love images like this, puting the spotlight on the simple things in our everyday lives that we usually go past without a second glance, but which after a closer look, can bring us joy, which your images have done for me. TFS.

 

Ok, I am trying to get back into the swing of things. After building a house, selling our old house, and changing jobs. I haven't had a lot of chances to get out and about with my camera for a long time. But I did manage to grab this the in the last few days. I guess it's a start in the right direction.
