My first attempts at shooting out of "baby mode" (automatic). Shot on Canon m50 with 15-45mm kit lens, handheld.

Well done for getting out of P (professional) mode, and playing with shutter speed. It helps yout find a style that you like.

    Nice images.

Thank you, Cal was guiding me through what to change, but now I know what to do next time, maybe.

Stepping out of auto will open up a whole new world of images, Loupe, may I suggest you have a play around with AV, Aperture Value. This will let you see the result of depth of field, or how far you see into a photo, ( DOF has 3 things that affect it, Aperture, focal length and distance from subject), select your aperture and the camera will do the rest, next TV or time value. Select your shutter speed and see the results, again the camera will do the rest, AV and TV are found on the Mode selection dial near the M or manual mode, hopefully these suggested modes will assist in using manual mode. Any problems there is always someone here to help, just ask.

Thank you, I mostly use my camera for vlogging but next time I'm out and about I'll try that.
