Have only had a 48MP phone camera for a couple of years but now I am back! I have a very nice Canon 90D with a kit 18-55mm lens. Looking forward to getting a Tamron 18-200mm. I have some macro rings coming from Wish (sometime!). I live on the waterfront in Ipswich, UK - largest non-tidal marina in the UK. My main use is to photograph the scale models on the table at our local club meeting every month. I take multiple focus shots and use `helicon Focus to merge them. Nice to see that the 90D has built in focus bracketing but I still have to stack them. Check out the club web site at IPMS Clacton Looking forward to a bit warmer weather, or at least some sunshine, to get out to the "Wet Dock" and spend some time getting some moody and interesting shots of the old infrastructure (at least what is still left) and lots of images of yachts and other craft.
Welcome to the forums David! We have a diverse group here everyone with different strong suits. I know you met a couple of us on your ring flash thread, I hope we help find a way around the banding your getting at slow shutter speeds, I will be interested to see some of those moody photos you mentioned next spring when the weather improves.
Thank you. According to Alexa you have similar weather to our over the last few days but at the moment we have warmed up bit. Give me some sunshine and I will be out and about in my powered wheelchair (too much arthritis!). Can't wait!
It has been surprisingly quite nice for this time of year so far in December, sadly around here we will settle into the temps well below freezing pretty quick and stay that way till March usually.
I have started a blog to cover my photo activity so go and have a look at http://www.lhdavidphotoblog.co.uk
