Christmas is over for another year.

Nope, at this point in our lives we have chosen not to exchange gifts. If the budget will allow it, we just go ahead and get whatever.

not this year, the only lens i had on my list was the Laowa 65mm macro, has i already have the 100mm laowa i said it was only if anyone gets stuck for ideas.
its currently the only lens i have on my to get list, reason for it is its a bit smaller and a bit lighter than the 100mm ef version, the 65mm being the ef-m version

most of the stuff i had on the list was to do with 1:8 scale model building., aside from that its been a few bits of clothing and other generic xmas stuff

its going to be a static model as far as the engine goes, so not a working one, two thoughts on the material, as i will be hand forming it, ie no milling machine or 3d printer i will either go with a hand carved block of aluminium as the real block is ally with a cast iron head or all petg plastic as hopfully a Mynt3d pen should be arriving, it was supposed to have been a crimbo present but santa go laddled up and we aint seen it yet,

reason for plastic 3d pen is i have worked with plastic and melting/hot shaping many years ago so that will give both the make ability and the repair if i bugger stuff up.

the aluminium is a get it right or your'e pretty much screwed on that scale.

body shell / panels will be sheet steel as thats what i normally work with on 1:1 scale,

its going to be a long build time wise as i have other stuff to do

one of the traps you can fall in im making is when you get a new tool you start trying to make everything with it rather than just doing the stuff you supposed to do ith it, so i'll have to watch out for that one.

though it would (3d pen) lend its self to making cat armour as its lighter than steel..............................

Just a thought, if you have oxy/acetylene gear. make a plaster model of the engine and other parts ( plaster is easy to mold shape and sand smooth). then use a mixture of cement and plaster to make a two part mold, remove the plaster model of the engine and pour into the cast molten aluminum. There are heaps of aluminum cans around. This would be a alternative to using your (3D pen).
Thought number two have you considered using fiberglass on any of the components.
Any way all the best with it.

materials that i will be using are very many, brass, ally, steel, epoxy body filler, 2 component liquid rubber, glass petg plastic, other plastic, electrical wiring for lights etc
