A Everyday Bird which I try to swear at least 50x plus to get out of my Calla Lilli patch, yet at close up rather pretty, but very plain ... Well, CANON EOS-1D Mark III with the new SIGMA 150-600mm lens, and I can see pretty well now what the missing / extra 100mm focal length do!

Have you tried putting a bird feeder up near your Calla Lilli patch as it will give it a alternative food source and attract more birds to photograph.
Do you have any thoughts on what caused the odd vertical artefacts in the feathers? Is the image a very heavy crop?
yes i noticed the additional 200mm between the 100-400mm c and 150-600mm c sigmas, makes a big difference on the crater detail on the moon too.
