A great lens I use for my carry around, it's hardly off my 7Dii.

Cheers Craig, I love it! I was at the old and lazy stage in my life and was looking for something that I could leave on my 7Dii without changing lenses all the time. Canon didn't seem to have what I wanted and when a friend lent me his Tammy 18-400 it was a nobrainer. It only comes off for my Siggy Bigma, Tammy 60mm macro and Canon 10-18. It cost me $860 locally a few years ago (released in mid 2017) and now with the greedy-gouge factor added, they now want $1150 from the same shop. I'm sure that if Canon had more competetive prices, they would make more profit and have a lot more happy clients.

I have an old Tamron 200 to 400, the old push pull to zoom. this is pin sharp but must say in hushed tones.I use it on my Nikon F90x film camera.
Framing is easy and it is fairly light. lousy if it is pointed upwards or downward as the slider does exactly that slides.
Still good for nearby wildlife and as a general walk-around lens for subjects a bit farther off.
I have a Nikon to EOS adapter but it is not as fun to us as I have to manually focus and I do not nail the focus as well as I do with the F90x in continuous focus mode.
