    Hi all,
I've traded in my EOS M10 for an EOS 5D Classic.

The 'Canon Utilities' I used for connect the M10 to my PC don't work with the 5D. I can't find any equivalent software on the Canon website as the 5D is discontinued. So I wondered if anybody knew where i might get some software that will allow me to connect my 5D to my Windows 10 PC via USB, instead of removing the CF Card, each time I want to transfer photos to my PC.

    Many Thanks,
    nictu.

The EOS Utility 1.X.... if you can get your hands on it probably would work even though they stopped updating it about 15 years ago, its a windows XP era program. The problem is finding a copy of the software, you will need an old CD from a camera that used it, they took it off the canon website many many years back, almost all cameras use EOS utility 2 or 3.

I have found a solution here:
    https://www.dpreview.com/forums/post/61424624

by setting the Communication to "Print/PTP" Windows 10 sets up its own driver which allows you to browse the CF card with Windows File Explorer.
    Hope this helps,
    Nick.
