Thinking about meat pie, one in particular has come to mind, typical of Salamanca and the province, where part of my family comes from. The difference is that it is taken to the countryside to eat with friends. I think it arose as a liberation from the days of fasting and abstinence of Lent. Another reason is that in spring, temperatures begin to rise, so it is a good idea to spend an afternoon surrounded by nature.

Speaking of complementary colors, the one that I come to mind is red and green like this napkin and napkin holder

 

I also remember the flag of Portugal, with the same colors
