Clearly they want to come home with you, Kevin, look at it this way, they make excellent lawn mowers, they mulch and manure at the same time and you would save fuel in not having to travel to see them. On a more serious matter, I used to have a horse in my back yard for 3 months till it's peddler bone in it's hoof heal up. She was not a big animal and loved to go for walkies around the neighborhood, till her hoof healed up. She was then returned to the paddocks with the other horses. Come to think of it I still have my saddles, bridles and other riding gear from when I owned and use to ride my own horses
I would happily adopt them though they are wild I have a garden the size of a postage stamp dont think they would be very happy But I look forward to seeing them most days
That alright Kevin,only joking, it's an Australian thing, I have a large backyard. It's good that you get out and have an interaction with the horses. The cost of owning a horse is expensive hear in Tasmania but I had access to large paddocks that, my horses kept the level of grass down to prevent bush fires but the cost a large roll of hay and food supplements were not cheap. The only reason I give up my horses was the medical problems I developed and could not look after them properly Were you live open paddocks are far fewer and costs in keeping a horse even more.
one of the horses I owned was a standard bred mare who was 16 hands high, she had two speed, plod and stop and if there was food around it was stop till she finished eating. She had a liking for cream biscuits we call Montycarlos, I would call and call her but would not come to me but if I rattled the Montycarlo biscut packet she would gallop from the bottom of the paddock to me for her biscuts

I do a similar thing in my class only it's joined by a cable no wifi, with the laptop connected to the camera, the students can see what is happening on the camera, I can also control the camera from the laptop. This is also a very good setup as one of my students has a vision issue.
