    Hi.
I just started to check whether back button focus is better for my wildlife photography.
Tested it and most of the time I like it.
    I have an issue though.
Sometimes when I am completely out of focus the back button focus won’t react until I manually turned the focus ring to be in focus the back button will focus as expected.

has anyone experienced this and found a solution?
I tested it with a Canon lens and a Tamron lens, both reacted the same.

Welcome to the forum Ton, I have a 60D and it occasionally happens to me, I have older gear and consider it a bit of a quirk that happens. I just put up with it.
