    Hello,
    how do i know what lenses will fit my camera?
    I will be getting a canon T8i. I am all new to this

    Equipment:
    A little Canon stuff
    You have a couple of choices of lens mount. So long as the lens is either an EF-s mount, which is a little smaller and lighter, or an EF mount, you will be good to go.

    Which lens are you looking at getting?

    Welcome Sonnyya. What sort of photography are you interested in.
    Landscape, Hills mountains and stuff.
    Street, just walking around taking images or portrait, eg. pictures of your friends.
    There are two types of lenses available. as well as those described by Gary. Prime lenses and Zoom lenses, just to make things confusing.
