    Hello Dear Members,

I have a problem with my camera and I did not find a solution on web, I hope
maybe some of you can help me.

I have an EOS 70D camera and I have bought a control monitor that can be connected to the camera by HDMI.

The problem is: while the monitor is connected, the original LCD screen is off, which
is very bad, because I would need both screen at the same time (the control functions can be useed only
on the LCD touch screen of course).

I've read that this is a common Canon problem and I have found suggestions on the net but unfortunaltely only for other cameras, not mine.

I hope some of you have encountered the problem with EOS 70D and knows the way how to solve it.

Thank you very much in advance for any help, suggestion,

    best regards,
    Zsombor

My understanding is that the video output when using HDMI is re-directed from the LCD by the camera, so it is an either one display or the other option. That said, I also understood the touch screen still works at this time, it just will not show anything with an external monitor connected.
