Hello, could someone who owns a Canon 7d mark II camera verify if the access lamp lighs up immediately when the battery cover is closed? It lights during turning on and off, or after closing door on cards compartment, but not when I close battery door. On my Canon 6D Mark II or 400D it lights up also when I close battery door. Thank you in advance for your answers
Yes, it flashes twice when the battery door is closed, it does not flash as the door is opened. Obviously you need to have a battery installed for it to flash
I have battery installed, door is closed, but it does not flash. But camera is working. It flash only when the camera is switched on or off. Also when cf or sd card is inserted and door is closed. I did not used camera few months and today I wanted to check if everything works. It seems that yes except above mentioned problem with access lamp. Maybe the communication between door and lamp was somehow interrupted.
If the camera is working then don't worry about it. I have also noticed that sometimes as the battery door is closed the light flashes then it does a sensor clean but sometimes it just the light that flashes, also the light can flash once, twice or 3 times just as the mood takes it.
Yes, you are right. I do not bother any more. Btw the sensor cleaning is not done everytime when the camera is switched on or off. But it is normal, it is mentioned as normal behaviour in user manual. Thank you for response.
