    Hi.

My new Mac has twin "thunderbolt" ports instead of the previous model's USBs.

Does anybody have any tips on how to connect via the "twin" usb socket or the HDMI socket on the 7D Mk2 camera body?

I think you just need to convert your computer thunderbolt port to USB-A, HDMI is not transporting data so that is not an option it just displays the video playback to your TV.

Unfortunately, the Canon 7D Mark II camera does not have a Thunderbolt or HDMI port, so you cannot directly connect it to your iMac using those ports. However, you can connect the camera to your iMac using a USB cable.

To connect your camera to your iMac via USB, you can follow these steps:

    1. Make sure your camera is turned off.
    2. Connect one end of the USB cable to your camera's USB port.
    3. Connect the other end of the USB cable to your iMac's Thunderbolt port using a Thunderbolt to USB adapter. You can find these adapters at most electronics stores or online.
    4. Turn on your camera.
    5. Your iMac should recognize the camera and allow you to transfer files.
Once the camera is connected to the iMac, you can use the Canon EOS Utility software to transfer photos and videos from the camera to your computer. If you don't already have the software installed, you can download it from Canon's website.
