Landscapes Alnwick Castle

    Alnwick Castle taken from across the river Aln near to the Lion Bridge. The castle was brought to a wider audience when some scenes from the Harry Potter movies were shot there. The Lion Bridge, often known as the Percy Lion bridge because ot it's statue of a lion, the rear end of which is shown in rather questionable detail. :eek:

    Neat image, Thumbnail. coming from a country with only 200 years building history , this is a impressive sight.

    Thanks Craig. A modern sterilised version of what in it's day was probably filthy, smelly and rife with rodents, lice and other nasties - unless you were the boss man of course.
