I have seen situation where it appears the photographer will take a picture, and the results show up within a few seconds on a large screen monitor for display to a group that is being instructed on techniques. Is there a way to do this through wifi? How are they doing that? I am somewhat aware of the Camera Connect app which allows transfer to an ipad, but I want it to go to a larger monitor. Also, I take a lot of pictures every day and need to get them to a computer, but don't want to wear out my USB connection or card slot taking it in an out.
Welcome to the forum, cchaffin. To answer your question, we need to now what camera you will be using as some have this function and like my 1D mark3, a wireless unit can be purchased back when it was first made, it getting a bit old now as for wearing out your cad slot or usb port, this will take a long time if treated with care.
There are a few ways to wirelessly transfer photos to a computer. Here are a few options: Use a cloud storage service like Google Drive, Dropbox, or iCloud. This is a great option if you want to be able to access your photos from anywhere. Once you've uploaded your photos to the cloud, you can access them from your computer, tablet, or phone. Use a wireless file transfer app like AirDroid or File Transfer Pro. These apps allow you to transfer files between your devices over a Wi-Fi network. They're a good option if you don't want to use a cloud storage service. Use your camera's built-in Wi-Fi capabilities. Many cameras now have built-in Wi-Fi, which allows you to transfer photos directly to your computer. This is a great option if you want to transfer photos quickly and easily. To wirelessly transfer photos to a larger monitor, you can use a wireless display adapter like the Google Chromecast or the Amazon Fire TV Stick. These devices allow you to mirror your computer's screen to a TV or monitor. Once you've mirrored your screen, you can open the photos on your computer and they will appear on the larger monitor. If you take a lot of photos every day, you may want to consider investing in a NAS (network-attached storage) device. A NAS is a small computer that stores files on your network. You can then access your photos from any device on your network, including your computer, tablet, or phone. This is a great way to keep your photos organized and accessible.
