... and you will be amazed at what beauty you will find. I came across this tiny isolated little flower whilst out so I returned with my 5D MkII, Sigma 105mm macro lens and exension tube. My hands are no longer as steady as they once were so I have to confess that I took a lot of shots and only this one was any good. I have included the tip of my thumb nail as a size comparison.
Well photographed for such a tiny flower! That is an Epilobium parviflorum found mostly across the northern hemisphere. Commonly called Hoary willowherb.
Thank you Isac. One of the first plants I learned to recognise in infants school all those years ago was it's very much larger cousin, Rosebay willowherb, which grows everywhere here in the UK.
