This months photo challenge is "Diptych" This would be a series of two images that pair together somehow. In art this is a common approach where you can compare or contrast, show two parts of the same scene, and tell a story.

    Happy shooting!

    Again, the rules are simple:
    • Should be be using some canon gear , this is a canon forum after all.
    • Shot with the assignment in mind, go out and shoot something new don't dig up something from the archives.
    • and most importantly have fun.

I'm afraid that inspiration seems to have gone AWOL for me this months challenge however, sitting here about to have my 'Elevenses' cuppa I thought this diptych might tell a story ......:D

I'll come clean and admit that this was my second chocolate covered marshmallow teacake - but I'm not admitting whether it was my last or not.

This summer I stayed in Torredembarra, I have only returned to Barcelona to visit doctors. Last weekend, they celebrated a party that I didn't know about before. A series of cities in Catalonia hold a fair throughout the year in tribute to the emigrants to America, who returned with fortune and invested it in the town. On Sunday, I went out with the camera and took several photographs, which I will try to present as diptychs. The _MG_2320-30.jpg first photos are the entrance door to the church square and the castle where the Town Hall is today. The door is seen from both sides

When I had seen this month's challenge I thought to my self, "what the fluffy ducken hell is that". I looked at his Johnsey's description but still had no to little idea, I then looked it up on google and all they had there was some small picture old Italian gent and another small picture of who I supposed was his wife with a what looked like a town they lived in. Still not sure what I am doing , so I went to the local shopping centre and with a canon15 took a couple of sly shots of the shoppers and as they all passed by this car. Diptych.jpg
I used this as my point to tie the image together, the relation ship between the two people were they were both shopping at the centre. Both shoppers were seperate images so the lady was easy to set up by the car but the gentleman was a nightmare, getting him the right size, feet on the ground and feathering the whole image to fit into the surroundings, if any wants to comment on if I nailed it or am barking up the wrong tree please be welcome to comment.

Graig, in theory it is this. But leaving the photograph separate, to see them together. Your composition turned out very well, but it doesn't show at all that there are two photographs.

The story is staged. Photo of truck was taken in a parking lot, but the iphone was mine. So, my stuff is good. I do notice more and more vehicles with front end damage and wonder if an iphone was involved.
