    Hello,

Are there any canon cameras that allow setting a custom key/button to create a new folder? For my specific use I'd like to be able to create a new folder at the press of one button while taking photos without having to manually go on the menu and do it every time, as I would need to create a new folder on average every 5 photos. I assume this would be possible on a camera that has customisable buttons that allows you to set a button to the function of creating a new folder.

    Many thanks in advance,

I am not aware of that being an option on any brand of camera, custom buttons allow you to quickly reference settings you use regularly during shooting and need to change, this could be a focus mode, ISO, custom white balance...etc.
I think most of us would rather see the whole shoot in one folder and then parse it out into collections in post processing. Less folders for processing helps, you may be a select use case wanting a new folder every 5 images.
