I have a Canon EOS2000D and I want to change the aspect ratio from 3:2 to 4:3. The instruction manual shows all the pixel counts for the various aspect ratios, but does not tell me how to change it. Can anyone help please?

I would generally advise shooting full frame in Raw format, and cropping to the format in post processing that you like. Best to work with the most information available in your "digital negative".

normally i agree with Johnsey on using the biggest frame size to shoot then crop in post as its essentially the same, difference would be you have less chance to miss with the bigger frame but if you are doing portraits its pretty unlikely you'll come away with a clipped image, 1 because you are able to frame pretty easy and 2 if you do clip you can shoot again, its mostly with action / wildlife the clipping can happen.

also th only time i use the ratio is 1:1 for a square image as those i like the frame in camera for the final image
