    I am guessing you are using your 70-300 mm for these pictures. What sort of cropping are you having to do, or is it none at all?

    Yes Gary, I am using the 70-300mm set at 300. The subject is tiny and it was about 30 - 40 feet from the balcony of my flat. Had to crop quite a bit to get here.

    Thanks for the reply, and sorry for the questions. I am pretty new to the land of Canon.

    I would like to have a go at the small birds around here, but we are in the middle of winter, so it is still a tad dull.
