It is the 8th tallest peak in the world at 26750 feet. Clouds cleared a bit for a glimpse of the towering mountain range.

I was going to comment but what you said covered it, there are not a lot of black and white photos on this site but these shots are very encouraging. It would be nice to see more of this quality,
    Sundar has really done well.

I agree with Craig. Really well done and, yes, we need more mono images here.

I have not done black and white for some time, so after Sundar's fine shots , here is another to try and get the ball rolling to get some more on the forum , lens used was a Super- Taumar 50mm F1.4 on a canon 60D heading home.jpg

I like your thinking about more B&W images. Would it be an idea to start a new thread for just B&W images?

Good idea, Gary. Yes, do it. I will go back through my Canon images and try to find some which would convert well to mono.

Thanks , Ray . I have a few lenses I have not used for a long time so this would be a good excuse to drag them out and get back into black and white.

Yes, it is a good opportunity for me to use my Takumars on the full frame 1Ds. I have the 8-element version of the Super-Tak 50mm f1.4 and I need to give it a work out.
