Thanks Tony, I liked the bright orange and red against the blue. That part of the flower bed is elevated so taking the image was not a case of crawling around on the ground. Gary
Hi Gary, I am also impressed at how you managed to avoid any purple fringing against a contrasty background. I do not know what you used for equipment, but I do find that Canon does a very good job in controlling the reds and chromatic aberration. Again, great work. TT
Hey Tony, The equipment used was a 7D and a 70-200 f4 IS. The location was a formal garden, of which I have many other flower shots. Gary
Thank you very much as it is good to know. I must say that I really like Canon's IS System as it seems to just freeze everything in the viewfinder. Very handy for an old codger like me since I never liked having to lug around a tripod. Cheers. Tony
I like the smaller 70-200 f4 version. I do have a 70-200 f2.8 in another brand, and another mount, one stop faster, but loads bigger and heavier as well. But as you can see, this version is pretty sharp. It is easy to carry around all day, and I have no complaints with it. Gary
Tony, Here is my first shot. But I missed the edge of the right hand flower, so I did not post it. So I zoomed out a little, and had another go. Gary
