From last summer. In the background is an old, metal washtub now used as a planter. It's filled to overflowing with little flowers. Shot with my 5D and Helios 40-2 (85mm f/1.5) & a cheap 2X Teleconverter, wide open. The 40-2 is very soft wide open, but I like the often crazy out of focus rendering it gives. And while the TC makes it even softer, it enhances the bubbliness of the background.
Thanks, Phil. I did bump overall color and contrast. But the artsy rendering is from the camera and lens combo. I was pleasantly surprised to see the way my 5D renders flowers. I really like the look I can get from it.
