Looks good Ray. A small, light, and fast lens.

Thanks, Gary. It's not the latest model but I am super happy with it. It is better than some of the reviews I read.

Good choice of lens, Ray. Those 50mm f1.8 plastic fantastic are great, it was my first lens I really got serious about photography with and it low light use is brilliant. I still have it in my camera bag.

Thanks, Chip. Yes, it is everything I had hoped for and then some. It was very good value, too.

After viewing your photos you have taken with your 50mm f1.8 lens on the full frame 1Ds. I felt somewhat inspired and took my Photography Class down to Richmond Village and my 1D and 50mm. My only problem was I left my polarizing filter in another camera bag. Here are some of the photos I took 6L5X2953.JPG

Hi Craig, I am glad that I inspired you. I love that bridge. There must be lots of great opportunities for images in that area.

Richmond Bridge was built in 1853 and the Village was formally declared a township in 1854. It is now a tourist trap with the surrounding area farming.
