Western Ghats (mountain ranges)

Western Ghats (Mountain chain in South-western India). This is part of a much larger region known as Deccan Traps, multilayered basalt lava beds (largest in the world) deposited by gigantic volcanic eruptions which occurred 65-67 million years ago.

Conditions were less than ideal for photography. This is the largest coffee growing area in the country.

 

Very nice work Sundar! Number 1 especially appeals to me.
