Very nice, Gary. But I would crop off that bright bit at the top. For me, that makes it a much stronger image.

Gary I like this shot, so I grabbed a copy and put it in photoshop and had a play with it .
I increased the exposure to brighten the river and used a burn tool to bring back the shadows on the mountains , I hope you don't mind and like my modified copy Modified shot.jpg

    Good point Ray. I agree.

Not a problem Craig. Your image was more along the lines that I was aiming for. But would you believe that I was unable to get my adapter off my filter kit some I couldn't use my ND grad. So I was trying not to blow out the highlights, and keep the shadows. I was planning on trying a 10 stop ND filter to smooth out the river. Also, not a problem if you want to play with my images.

Now that you have reminded me, I am off to have another go at getting the adapter off.

I find that the more pressure you put on the adapter it tends to deform and jam it on more. May I suggest that you are a little more gentle with it as this may make it easier to remove, all the best with it Gary.

It was no more than cold fingers and being outside. Back home and with little effort, the adapter came off.

I have had the same problem and there is nothing better than that little moment of joy when it does come off.
