Western Himalayas

Sundar, excellent shots, now looking at them and I know we have been over this before but with the shadows, highlights, contrast, the rough and interesting texture of the rocks and cliff faces this area would make stunning black and white shots. I hope you don't mind but I copied a couple and put them into photoshop to convert them to black and white. My I humbly suggest one day maybe take a old film camera and some black and white film. You never know could get some interesting photos.
PS. I am a little jealous.

Thanks Craig. First three images show the first light hitting the peaks. I think this is best seen in color. B&W does give a different perspective.

 

Sundar, you could be right in that area, it was one thing I could not enhance or replicate in the black and white photos I covered in photoshop.

 

Light was too dark at that time Craig. Only thing which popped out was the tiny bit of peak brightening up to the first light.

Sundar, giving what you have said, black and white could possibly come into play later in the day, you are correct for Colour at that time of day, good landscape shots take time and a lot of sitting and waiting for the light to change, still you have taken some most excellent shots again an as always a pleasure to view them.

Nice images Sundar. But I think that the third image has potential for a mono conversion. I done a quick and dirty conversion that hasn't come out the cleanest, but I think that you can see where I am going with this.

This does capture the mood very well. it was all about the shiny bit of peaks with the first light coming from the right.Thanks.
