The owners of our retirement village have just installed a new launching jetty for our model boat club sailors. It has been wanted for quite a while and it is so good to see it completed.

    Canon EOS-1Ds, Canon EF 28-135mm, f3.5- 5.6.

Looks as if it is time to do a little model boat building Ray.

No, that won't be happening, Gary. I have enough toys anyway and if I had a boat that would clash with my role of official photographer. That's how I get my kicks.

When the model boat users are away it look like a nice jetty to fish from.

You would be very disappointed, Craig, as I don't think that there are any fish there. You might catch a large eel if you are lucky. Or unlucky!

Ray, the lady that used to live next door to my parents home considered them a delicacy and use to smoke them, tasted quite nice.

Neither do I, my reference to smoking was in the style of cooking , she would put them in her smoke shed and it was the smoke from green burning wood, She was from Latvia, her and her husband come out here to escape the Russians taking over the country.
Eels are well liked in Europe.

    Hi Craig,
Yes, I knew what you meant. That is why I added a smiley. You will eventually get used to my warped sense of humour.

That is alright Ray, a little warped humor adds interest to the conversation.
