Having also been a Pentax shooter for several years, I've spent too much ( ! ) time at pentaxforums.
It's a wonderfully well organized site with vast resources of information. I particularly appreciate the lens review databases - both for Pentax and third party lenses.

Adam, who's an administrator here on canonforums as well as at pentaxforums is a really nice guy. And he sets the friendly, helpful tone over there.

That's our goal at canon forums too, friendly and helpful!

Same for me -- the Pentax site is very well organized and easy to use. One of the best around.
Hopefully in time the Canon site might do as well.

Still use Pentax as my DSLR cameras here, as well.. Though most often I'd either have one or both of my Canon super-compacts on me. Unfortunately, Pentax doesn't seem to make advanced raw-capable super compacts. ..... I posed a question regarding this in the PowerShot subsection.

One thing that hopefully this Canon site might get, that the Pentax site has, is a dark/black page theme.

I also am on Pentax Forums as I got my first 'Asahi Pentax' in 1961! An S3 model which I used for years doing local Press Work then SOLD it 40 odd years ago and had a phone call from the Guy asking if I would like it back as " it is not working" BUT with some careful TLC I GOT it working -- you can see the Video about it here :

Pentax Forums would have to be my No1 photography site. I have always been and remain today a Pentax user. My financial circumstances don't allow me to get up to the big boys toys so I make do with what I have. That is digital and film.
So whenever I have a moment to spare or need to get an answer to a question or problem, be it Pentax or other make,(many things are generic and not brand specific) I head here.
Now with this new Canon Forums and my new found Canon toys, well, I will just have to juggle which comes first. Need I say that they are both now on my bookmarks bar for swift access.
A big thank you to Adam and Phil especially.

Our long term goal is to integrate PF, NF and CF so that a single account can be used for all 3. The software on CF is a lot newer than what we use on PF, so we're also looking to upgrade PF at some point (which is a huge task as PF runs a lot of custom things).

For now, CF will be a support forum and community. My core focus will remain on PF's editorial content (reviews, photo articles, etc.) which is a big part of that site. You should be in good hands with Phil as your CF admin :)

5Dii, T3i, EOS3, Elan II, IIe, 7N, AE-1, EF 50/1.4, EF 100/2.8 macro, EF 16-35/2.8, several FD lenses for use on film bodies and EOS adapted bellows units, various vintage lenses by numerous makers (especially Takumar) adapted to EOS, numerous point and shoot film Canons (and other brands).
I too have come here via pentaxforums. I shot Spotmatics for decades, but now primarily shoot Canons for DSLR work. However I have adapted many of my Takumar lenses (and other brands) to work on a 5Dii, or failing that on the T3i/T4i (mirror strikes can be an issue for wide angle Takumars on the 5Dii).

I shoot a lot of film and very much like the late generation EOS film cameras, where I can use the Takumars as well. Below is a recent example shot with an Elan 7N and a Takumar 17/4 fisheye.

I've also been a Pentax Forum subscriber, mainly use a K-3, and hope I will like using the groups here as much as I do on Pentaxforums.

I too am a pentaxforums user. I shot with a K1000, a K100D Super, a K-5, and a K-3. There is lots of great content on PF. I found the most valuable areas to be the lens database and the marketplace. I hope CF gets a lens database and the CF marketplace really takes off at some point.

    Konica Minolta 7D
Various OEM and 3rd party lenses in Pentax, Minolta and Canon.
Like many others, I subscribe to Pentax Forums.
Like Kredding (and others) have suggested a lens database is a wonderful asset for a forum, many Pentax forum members have admitted to using the Pentax lens etc review database before succumbing (through interest or guilt) to joining.
Having lens reviews (and cameras and accessories) will attract interest in this forum if someone searches the WWW for a review posted and finds some residing here.
One day I would like to log on and find I am not the only one viewing...and members far exceed robots!

ps, I am awaiting a Canon AL-1 I won at auction, has a broken battery door but hopefully the focus assistant feature is still working.

I'm another member coming from the Pentax forum. I shot Pentax for years until I switched to EOS digital (D30) in 2002. I dumped all of my Pentax gear only to repurchase it all again and then some starting in 2016. I now have about 20 Pentax M42, K, and M SLRs. On the Canon side, I've had the D30, 10D, 20D, 40D, 5D, 5d mk3, and currently the 5D mk iv and 7D mk ii. I also just purchased an Elan 7s and and EOS 3. Glad to be here and looking forward to writing some equipment reviews.

PF has been a great site - I have joined your Nikon and Canon sites as well as I use all three - you just need a Minolta and Olympus site now :)

I'm a long-time Pentaxian and habitue of Pentaxforum.com. I came to Canon via a lovely Canon P, two lenses, and the ever ready case. This rangefinder teams well with my Nikon S2 and Contax IIa, and my apparent long-term effort to spend my self into the poor house via GAS (Gear Acquisition Syndrome). As Mike at Wings Camera says, "Photography is an expensive hobby. But its cheaper than car collecting, and cheaper and safer than having a mistress!";)
