    Hi All,

While out shooting this morning I experienced a strange effect that I have never had happen to me before. If you look at the attached images, Image 1 is pretty normal, Image 2 (I have added some pointers to the issue on Image2A).

Has anyone had experience with this?
Is this a camera or a lens issue?
Is this something to be concerned with?

    Thanks in advance.
    Victor

A bunch of lenses and other stuff
That's the shadow of the antlers in the breath from the stag. It's caused by the position of the light behind the subject.

It's a similar effect to that which you get when you shine a laser through smoke except it's the inverted effect due to the breath (smoke) being illuminated everywhere except where the antlers block the light.

Oh, wow! That's crazy ... I never thought of that but it makes 100% sense! So almost like an optical illusion. Cool. Thanks
