Hi all. I've had an issue with my EOS 750D camera for a while now. When using the main dial to attempt to change settings such as the shutter speed etc, the screen will often go blank for a while. After a short pause the red access light will flicker, and the screen will come back. Sometimes the setting has changed, sometimes not. I have reset the camera and have just done a firmware update but the problem persists. I guess this could be a fault on the SD card, but I can't really see why this would cause this? I've ordered another SC card anyway, and indeed if this solves the problem I'll post that here and maybe this will help someone else out at some point.
The red blink is the camera thinking. You should be able to change setting on the menus without a SD card in the camera. The screen should not go black for a length of time when changing settings, it may however take a 1 sec to display an image after taking a photo as it will write the image to the card first. I would call canon, it sounds like somethings wrong, it may be a pinched wire to the screen that is shorting out or something with the motherboard. They would have to look at it.
