January Monthly Challenge - "New to You"

if you put a single branch / twig near to the bird feeder but with the bird feeder out of shot the birds will hop to the branch / twig / stump etc while waiting for other birds to move away or as a safety thing where they hop onto the branch to have a quick look around first. its a thing i seen done a few times with good success for the more natural look

 

Take a trip to Mitre 10. You can buy a bird feeder and bird seeds for next to nothing. Once the birds figure out that is where they can get a free meal, they will be waiting for you to keep on refilling the feeder.

Well, OK not new yet 'New To Me' since yesterday as it arrived in the mail (a CANON EOS-1D Mark II N), and so with a brand new Battery installed and a couple of spare Cards it showed # 20878 clicks at the Shutter-Count readout and with absolutely everything else working fine!
A Bargain Buy & Virtually MINT except the Hot-Shoe has some missing paint and a very small spot next to it, but otherwise for such PRO Unit & the age off around 15 years, no Sweet hand markings etc.
I have taken after Initial readout 35 photos to check lenses etc. and all fine especially pleasing using my old Japan Glass EF lenses as well as new type EF-S lenses on it !!!

Very nice, Uppercut. I have the 1D Mark 3, built like a brick outhouse, a little on the weighty side but a sweet camera. You have a very nice example.

 

From what i’ve read in dpreview’s review, EF-S lenses won’t mount….

I have had no problems as yet on any of my Cameras or my C-100 & if there would be than I can still change the Focal length of that lens to adapt! or simple could use another. But all in all & and as I said nothing which could make me concerned. rgs Roland

 

On January 6, the feast of the Epiphany, I and my living siblings, together with our couples, gathered to celebrate the arrival of the Magi loaded with gifts. And savor the "Roscón de reyes", after eating.

This year, I have photographed the gifts received, and I am sending you a copy of the generated images, these are a shirt, a book and a Portuguese music CD.
